It's a lovely little thing - pretty sure it's a rebadged Mitsubishi something-or-other.

A Pajero, according to wikipedia. I'd love to own something almost exactly like this as a fun car one day. Love those tiny Japanese trucks like this.

I want to say they sold it as a 2-door version of the Montero here in US America, but I can't recall exactly.

Just this last summer I found a clean, beige V6 Raider in a Euro yard next to an Eagle wagon and couldn't decide which I'd rather offer to pull out for $400. Even came with a spare and tons of field mouse droppings inside. Clean body tho.
Either way it made me google an ass ton of offroad Pajero/Raider stuff. Not having a solid rear axle at the front seems like a positive on these cars unless you're rock crawling. With the locking hubs it certainly won't stop you from going most anywhere. Plenty for exploring the lush seasonal roads around me. I think I just convinced myself...Definitely going to start at $400 and see what the old man says.
That's cool it has the 4G54 engine that thing will last forever, great he got the carb rebuilt. Though if it were me trying to sell a restored Raider for $6k+ I would've chosen the turbocharged version of that engine found in the Starion/Conquest funk it they both fit.
